16+ years fully qualified UK Physics teacher and examiner. ESL expert.
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I have been a fully qualified teacher since 2007 when I qualified to teach Physics at secondary level in UK schools. In ten years, I achieved some of the best results among the local county schools and was twice nominated for the National Teaching Awards.
I don't take myself too seriously and I always take time to get to know my students and their specific learning styles. I have often been told that I have a near magical ability to take the most complex scientific ideas and communicate them in such a way that my students feel more confident in their abilities and inspired by their progress.
After many years of teaching in schools and online with students of all backgrounds and nationalities, I have a blend of teaching styles that I draw on depending on the student. Some students learn by interacting verbally and some prefer to learn through observation. For some, I encourage students to be active in their learning through questioning, instant feedback, and problem-solving. Other students prefer me to deliver a package of information and then use that to solve problems and answer written questions with constructive feedback and further instruction.
