A bit about Thomas B

I am a teacher that is passionate about learning and pupils achieving the best that they can. Over the last 7 years, I have gained extensive knowledge of how to support children in their learning ensuring that any gaps in their learning are filled. Over the last 4 years including the current academic year I have taught in KS1 but have a lot of experience in supporting learning in KS2. I have taught both in class and out (as an intervention teacher) supporting children that need that little extra time to achieve the best they can. I plan lessons based on what I know about the children and what they need. This gives children the best opportunity to gain what they need from their time with me. I also try to link learning to areas that they are most confident in, for example, if a child needs support in reading but is a confident scientist then linking learning to their interests should support and built their confidence in the area of development.
