A bit about Samantha S

My name is Sam, I'm a qualified English Teacher. I tutor KS3 and GCSE, A-Level Literature. I have a Masters in English Literature which specalised in Shakespeare! I love teaching Literature and Language. I'm engaging and full of knowledge and tips to help you succeed in English. I am also a qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) I specialise is Eduqas exam papers. My Masters is in Shakespeare and I have previously taught: Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Hamlet but I can teach you how to analyse most Literature texts. I also specialise in teaching modern plays such as Blood Brothers and An Inspector Calls. Victorian Literature such as A Christmas Carol and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as well as poetry. I can also help you with your language skills too. I'm a really bubbly and engaging teacher. English generally leads to really interesting conversations but I also use my lessons to model how to write developed answers. My career in education began as a Literacy Mentor at a College back in 2009. I've been an English teacher for 4 years, some of that time has been spent teaching online. I've helped a variety of students make progress. English, books, literature and texts, open your eyes to the beauty of the world and the people in it. Every time I read I learn something new about myself. I've been told I'm engaging, patient and good humoured. I take a simple approach, I model, we try it together then you practise. We then look at the improvements we need. I'm with my students every step of the way. Talking to a range of students about English. English is such an interesting subject that expands the mind- I love being on this journey with my students. Fear of failing is in our heads! That I care, that I'm passionate about my subject, and that I know my stuff!
