I am qualified and experienced in Teaching both English and Drama to all Key Stages. I have worked in various high schools around the North East and prepared many students for GCSE and A Level Exams. I also am an excellent ESOL Teacher with experience preparing for all levels of Cambridge English Exams, I work 1:1 with students preparing Exams and can also offer conversational classes to develop speaking skills. I have a lot of experience working with students with SEN and have specialist training working with students who have Dyslexia and Speech and Language difficulties, I can offer these lessons as 1:1 Specialist English lessons. In addition to this I offer LAMDA tutoring for Acting Exams.
I am an engaging and fun teacher, I always find new and exciting ways to engage my students and have some excellent resources which support my lessons! I always plan my lessons based on each individual students needs and I adapt my approaches based on the way they learn best. I break down the subject into small chunks making the topics more digestible and work in a modular way, taking one step at a time.
I love teaching both English and Drama as I have such a passion for working with young people and seeing them expand their knowledge and confidence. Both English and Drama are very creative subjects and require development of creativity and self expression, this is always wonderful to see!
Every person learns differently, there is no such thing as CAN'T, it's simply that we must find another way to approach learning!
