I?m a passionate and enthusiastic violinist who loves to teach and inspire people of all ages and abilities to learn the violin. I graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a BA degree in Music, achieving a 2:1. Before graduating and during my time as a university student, I have gained 7 years worth of experience within the music industry. This includes being a private violin and music theory tutor, a Violin Teacher?s Assistant, a Violin Maker?s Intern, delivering Therapeutic Musical workshops with the Drake Project in Northern Ireland and teaching English and Music in orphanages in Sri Lanka and India.
I deliver fun, engaging lessons using ?outside the box thinking? and I have taught students from various backgrounds and levels. I am willing to adapt my teaching strategies to the students? individual needs, and always pay attention to the goals my students want to achieve throughout their lessons. If individuals wish to complete a recognised qualification I offer tuition for ABRSM, LCM and Trinity graded exams, as well as Music Theory lessons. I have played the violin for 11 years, and although I am classically trained I enjoy playing other music genres such as jazz, Irish Traditional, pop, rock, country and Indian music, which can be included within students lessons if desired.
The main reason that I undertake tutoring is that I enjoy having the privilege to be able to share my knowledge, skills and passion for music. I particularly like encouraging people to play the violin and seeing their ability as a violinist flourish.
If you wish to book a violin or music theory lesson online, feel free to get in contact. I really look forward to joining you on your Musical Journey and please remember to provide as much information about yourself, your level of playing and your overall goals.
(In the future I am willing to move lessons to in-person once it is safe to do so.)
