A bit about Oliver

Hello! My name is Oliver and I am an approachable, experienced, and highly qualified primary (KS1 and 2- all subjects) and KS3 (Mathematics) tutor and teacher.

I have a friendly and calm approach to teaching that helps my students feel confident about their learning. I put my students' learning and well being at the forefront of my teaching and I take the time to get to know their interests, strengths, and their weaknesses so that tutorials are fun, engaging and purposeful.

I have worked in education for the last 5 years, including 'Outstanding' and 'World Class' primary schools and, although I am relatively new to tutoring, I have an in-depth understanding of the curriculum and how children learn. As a qualified teacher, I have undergone extensive training that qualifies and enables me to teach all subjects up to (and including) KS2 and I specialise in teaching computing and mathematics, which I am able to teach up to KS3.

I have been working in schools through the pandemic recently, so I understand better than most the impact this has had on learning and the best ways to catch up.

As your child's tutor, I will make sure that they grow in confidence, make academic progress, and most importantly, have fun learning.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Riley

My 10 year old son absolutely loved his lesson with Oliver today and cannot wait for next week to continue! Oliver is very polite, incredibly quick to respond to all my queries and is able to create lessons bespoke to whatever is needed.
