A bit about Andrea G

Hola, my name is Andrea and I am a Qualified Secondary School Teacher with six years of experience teaching KS3,4 and 5. (From year 7 to year 13) I currently work in a school as a MFL teacher teaching Spanish and French. I teach Spanish to year 7-13 and French to year 7 and 8. I consider myself highly motivated and committed. I love my job and I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals, both academic and personally. As well as being a class teacher, I have been responsible for training new teachers for two years as who have gone on to be very successful. I specialise in Spanish GCSE and A-levels Spanish (Edexcel and AQA) and have been teaching it for over six years in a Secondary School. I plan my lessons for them to be adapted to the necessities of my students. I personalise them to cover what they need, so they are not always the same for everyone. I will usually have different kind of activities and materials to cover the four skills needed (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and being able to succeed in their exams. My lessons are structured and practical and I especially try to do lots of speaking, as that is the area that students are less confident with. I use strategies for them to remember vocabulary and go back to previous knowledge for them to keep revising all content. I started teaching in 2017 and I have been tutoring since 2018. I have experience in tutoring online as in during lock down I taught my students online and also I have been tutoring online for two years. My last GCSE exam results (2022) turn out to be really good :) 98% students graded 9-4 70% students graded 7-9
