A bit about Laila E

Lessons are usually divided in 4 main parts - reading (comprehension and translation), writing, listening and speaking. To promote fluency, I focus on using authentic materials. For instance, real newspaper articles or videos in the target language, so that the student gets used to listening to the real sound and structure of the language. However, lessons can be planned to focus on those skills separately should a specific area need reinforcement. My friendly approach. Whereas I do have high expectations and will expect a certain degree of learning from each lesson, I believe in trial, error, justification and learning. I will identify common mistakes and help the student understand why they are making the mistake and how to rectify it, rather than just correct it and move on. I teach French and Spanish at KS3, KS4 and A-Level. Exam boards: Edexcel and AQA Sharing my knowledge and passion for languages, inspiring people to think independently and strengthen all the skills that come with learning a language. I am a curriculum leader in French and Spanish, with excellent cultural and linguistical knowledge and I teach up to A-Level. As well as being a curriculum leader, I am also a member of language learning associations. I am a qualified teacher in modern foreign languages. I studied in bilingual schools and obtained my GCSE and A-levels (including English and French) equivalents in Spain, where I grew up.
