A Mathematics tutor, who aims to inspire their pupils to succeed!
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I am a First-class Physics and Mathematics (MPhys) graduate from Loughborough University, who has since completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status in Mathematics at Loughborough University. While I studied at university I ran the local chapter of an international volunteer outreach project called Robogals, where I organised and ran workshops for children in schools teaching them programming and robotics in a fun and engaging environment. The aim of these workshops was to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and mathematicians, a goal I aim to continue in my career as a tutor.
Since graduating with my QTS in July 2020, I have been tutoring mathematics to pupils online, helping support them during these uncertain times and giving them the guidance needed to prepare them for the challenges Mathematics has to offer. As a graduate of a Physics and Mathematics degree, I recognise how a pupil's low confidence in mathematics can become a deterrent to pursuing studies in science. My aim is that through dedicated tutoring I can help many pupils improve their mathematical confidence and in doing so enable many to pursue their passions in science.
I have found tutoring to be incredibly rewarding. Being able to focus my attention on an individual pupil, discover their own unique misconceptions and then working together with the pupil to overcome these misconceptions has been an exciting journey. One I wish to continue and in doing so support and inspire many more pupils.
