A bit about Katie M

I am an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher and Examiner. I teach KS3 and KS4, and examine English Literature GCSE for AQA. I have six years experience of teaching in mainstream secondary schools, and have been tutoring for two years. I love being able to work with students to develop their skills, improve their confidence, and allow them to succeed. I love supporting students to improve their knowledge, skills and confidence. Helping a student to understand a new concept or master a new technique is so rewarding. I get to see my students making progress in every single lesson, which is amazing! It's also great when I hear about how much more confident and successful my students are in school and with their exams. Unsurprisingly for an English teacher, I love to read! I also love being out in nature, especially being near or in the sea. I'm also a big fan of settling down on a rainy afternoon with a pot of tea, a group of friends, and a board game.
