A bit about Aryaman

Hi there, my name is Aryaman and I am a first-year medical student. I have been tutoring since year 8 by volunteering at my local tuition center to having started it as a part-time job that I truly love. I am a diligent, enthusiastic and trustworthy person that would definitely improve your child's knowledge by using good revision techniques to help your child overcome those hard concepts. Prior to the lesson, the student and I would plan the lessons for that specific month and what we aim to go through such as mock revision or specific topics per lesson in order for the lessons to be as efficient as possible. At the beginning of the lesson, I go through the homework ( usually exam questions or past papers) that was given in the previous lesson and discuss any ideas further or address the improvements and possible topics of improvement which would overall improve the student's performance and give them more exposure to exam-room setting. During lessons, we look at more exam questions preferably harder ones and examiner reports to highlight the skills and knowledge needed to attain the top grades. I use exam papers to identify areas of weakness so we can then work on specific skills or topics. We can then revise topics and make revision materials. During the lesson, we could also go through a new topic or revise a previous one in order for me to check the student's prior understanding so I could further build and consolidate the knowledge that would be useful for them as it would prepare them for tackling those tricky questions in exam papers. If a new topic or concept is being covered, I ensure that my approach is steady and tailored around the student in order for them to grasp and understand the new ideas. I specialise in biology, chemistry and maths up to a-level studies ( AS and Year 2). At the beginning of the lesson, I aim to go through the homework which would be set in the previous lesson and give sufficient feedback to the student to improve on. After that, I would give a few starter questions to the student to complete about the topic which I am going to cover which would help me assess and analyse the student's prior knowledge. From then, I would usually go through a presentation powerpoint which would cover the objectives and relevant examboard specifications of the topic and make sure that the student is actively engaged and are getting a better understanding of the topic. After this, I would reassess the student by giving them plenty of exam questions on the topic and go through these questions with them from the markscheme and examiner's report. Lastly, I would set them homework due the following week based on the lesson to make sure they can go through and check their knowledge independently. As an experienced and friendly tutor, I can assure you that I definitely would be able to help your child improve and help them in their studies to ensure they get the best grades possible.
