A bit about Anika B

I first began tutoring 3 years ago. I have been working for 3-years at an Ofsted-rated outstanding secondary school where I tutor GCSE students, preparing them for their exams. I have professional experience working in a classroom with real-life students and I have good knowledge of the new GCSE curriculum and of the exam boards. I specialise in Mathematics and English Literature. I have studied Mathematics at GCSE and at A-levels. At GCSE, I achieved a Grade 8, and at A-level Maths I achieved a Grade A. I have excellent knowledge of the subject area, and I have professionally tutored students at an Ofsted-rated secondary school. I have also studied English Literature at both GCSE and A-levels. I achieved a Grade 8 at GCSE and a B at A-level. I have recently completed my LLB Law degree at a top Russell Group University and thus my knowledge of the English Language is advanced. I mostly teach Edexcel Mathematics and Eduqas (WJEC) for English Literature, but I also have an overall knowledge of other exam boards. I primarily teach GCSE (year 11) students who are nearing their final exams, but I can also teach years 7, 8, 9 and 10 students. My interest outside of teaching is reading and writing. I am an avid reader of all things fiction, from classics to fantasy. I would love to tutor students in English Literature and spread my love for books in order to help them achieve their potential. I also enjoy writing, and one of my many career aspirations is to become a traditionally published author.
