I am a fully qualified SEN teacher with a Masters in Chemistry.
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I am a qualified secondary school science teacher and have over 6 years experience in private tuition. I completed my masters in and absolutely love to teach Chemistry.
I specialise in A-level Chemistry and GCSE Combined Science. I am currently working in an SEN Secondary school so I have experience with different and complex needs. I also recently became an exam officer in my school so I am familiar with the process of examinations. My rate is 25£ for GCSE session and 30£ for A level.
I created my own materials which I often share with my student to help with their revision. I then assess the student's current position and understanding and based off that, we can plan out a roadmap for their progress. I also find it really important to include the student in the planning process, so we have a roadmap that we are both comfortable with. I have lots of experience with different abilities and personalities and I love to tailor lessons to their needs.
I became a private tutor over 6 years ago when I was building up my experience as a teacher. I then began working as a volunteer in an SEN setting as a science technician in mainstream school and a private tutor in a tuition centre. Over 3 years ago I became a fully qualified science teacher in Red Balloon Learning Centre. I really find working with SEN students rewarding.
