An Enthusiastic Primary Maths and English Tutor
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
Currently I work as a Teaching assistant in a school.
Providing support to children who need additional support with their work. Reinforce lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small group. Helping pupils develop independent learning skills, manage their own learning and prioritise their time. Working mainly with KS1 and KS2 pupils. I also gained knowledge of the national curriculum and learning initiatives and how to interact with children of all needs. Have also experience of working with KS1 children and also assisting Year 2 children with their SAT's.Responsible for motivating children and helping them to improve their Reading, writing, Grammar, spelling and Maths. Also have experience of working as private tutor. Preparing children for KS1 and KS2 SAT and 11 plus exams. Identifying students' strengths and weakness. Preparing lesson material for tutoring lessons and providing parental feedback on a regular basis. Encouraging and praising the student as and when needed.
I recognise the importance of a good tutor. A tutor who knows how to engage and focus his/her pupils, plays an influential role in the eventual outcome of the pupils' grades. A student is more willing to learn when the teaching techniques are varied. Having gained this understanding through my own work experience as a teaching assistant. One must be flexible and adapt to each child accordingly. Also, a constant commitment is required, to oversee improvements on a daily basis.
