You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?

When did you first start tutoring?

I first started tutoring 7 years ago, and teaching 9 years ago. I have tutored a range of KS1, KS2 and KS3 students and also lots of students wishing to complete the 11+ tests. I love tutoring on a 1:1 basis. It really gives the student so much more confidence, in such a short space of time.

What is your favourite thing about being a tutor?

There are many reasons why I love tutoring as I am so passionate about education. I think my absolute favourite is Seeing the progress (and proud smiles!) of my students.

What inspired you to become a teacher?

My cousin has autism and I always wanted to help children similar to her. My love for education began with my love for her. I also was privileged to have been taught by amazing and inspiring primary teachers - two in particular I remember to this day. They brought me out of my shell and helped shape me massively to the person I became.

What do you specialise in?

I am a trained primary teacher and a trained SENCO. Therefore, my specialisms are: KS1 and KS2 Maths, KS1 and KS2 English and teaching children with Special Educational Needs.
