Edexcel, Eduqas & WJEC - up to and including A-level - main boards AQA / OCR - up to and including A-level - other boards
My specialist subject is maths because it interests me. Maths is used to describe our real world and it is usually precise such that you know when you have the right answer. It can be used for example to prove that the angle hit a cricket ball for maximum distance is 45 degrees. My SEN experience includes working with students with ASD (autistic spectrum disorder), Aspergers, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, OCD (obsessive–compulsive disorder), ODD (oppositional defiant disorder) and PDA (pathological demand avoidance).
Engaging the student in the topic, getting them to understand the concept and seeing their satisfaction when they answer a question on their own.
Where do I go from here?
