A bit about Paige C

I am a qualified Maths teacher currently working full-time in a secondary school with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating. My classroom practice has been graded as ‘Outstanding’ and I possess the ability to secure high levels of student interest in lessons by incorporating an array of creative activities into my planning and teaching. I strive to deliver every lesson with passion and enthusiasm and I will continue to differentiate my lessons to enable all students to enjoy learning and achieve their learning goals! I tend to use the 'I do, We do You do' approach in my teaching! I do: I model the appropriate way of performing the skills included in the new concept being taught. We do: I work with the student to effectively answer similar questions using the new concept. You do: The student can demonstrate their initial level of understanding of the new concept being taught through independent practice! I believe teacher enthusiasm sparks the curiosity of students and jumpstarts their motivation to learn. I have been described by my students and colleagues in the past as a ‘positive, fun and enthusiastic teacher’ which I believe has resulted in positive attitudes towards learning in my lessons and improved student performance. During previous parents and carers evening's, I have been delighted to receive such praise from parents about their child's eagerness and passion to learn mathematics with me! I am up to date with the current AQA and Edexcel GCSE Mathematics exam board. I have experience teaching all ages and levels up to Year 11 Higher GCSE!
