A bit about David L

I have an extensive teaching background in primary, secondary, and leadership. I specialise in teaching Maths but also teach English. I love tutoring because of the amazing progress you can achieve. I specialise in teaching Maths. I have experience at achieving great results at GCSE Higher and Foundation. I get a lot of feedback reporting improved confidence, moving up school sets and exceeding school predictions. I have also had outstanding results from other exams including Primary SATS. I can teach all Year groups (Typically Year 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11) because of my extensive experience in primary and secondary. Recently most of my work has been with Year 9, 10, and 11 preparing for Maths GCSE but support on a wide level. I also teach English language and Literature at all levels. I have experience with all the main exam boards. I think one of the key skills great tutors have is to be able to rapidly identify what to work on and how. I go into lessons with clear plans and adapt in real-time to maximise learning. This ability to be bespoke makes tutoring very powerful and effective. I enjoy outdoor sports like hiking and cycling. I enjoy cooking and music.
