A bit about Peter M

Hello to everyone reading this. My name is Peter, I am a maths tutor for the National Tutoring Programme, working with schools using various exam boards such as , Edexcel, AQA and OCR, and therefore well versed on the curriculum for each and on the specifications for each tier, higher / foundation. As I am based in Northern Ireland I have knowledge of the CCEA exam body curriculum also. All new students receive a short test, which will cover the main examinable topics , this test would be a baseline test and I use that to determine areas of weakness and strengths. The results of this test are then used to build an individual program so we can allow your child the very best chance of obtaining the best possible grade. Following each session a short report will be provided to you, the parent / guardian , which will detail the topics covered, how I feel the session went, points to work on and homework (if you wish) that has been set. And so for the technicalities- I hold a Certificate in Education and Training, I also have child safeguarding and an enhanced Access NI / DBS cert, as I also teach swimming to children aged 4+, I am in the second year of my BSc Mathematics degree , with an assessment average of 95%. Maths, All levels upto and including A-Level - all U.K. boards including Northern Ireland Lessons are tailored to suit individual students needs, which we identify from the outset. I have over 5yrs of tutoring experience, both face to face and online. I love maths, I love seeing children going from struggling in a topic to mastering them, going from a 4 to a 9 , it’s all possible Hands on , plenty of examples, past paper questions, I love having the students explain the process to me and then seeing them work out how the answer is derived GCSE Maths and Further Maths, A Level Maths, BSc Mathematics (currently studying , averaging 95%), and plan to undertake my MSc I am a qualified swimming teacher and swimming coach, currently teaching children from aged 4 upwards, I have also coached club swimmers to division 1 standard, and like maths swimming is linear.
