What is your teaching philosophy?

I pride myself in building relationships with every pupil, I believe that children succeed and grow when they feel comfortable to make mistakes, learn from their experiences and take chances. I like to make learning fun, real-life and meaningful to develop a love of learning.

What do you specialise in?

I have thorough understanding of the National primary Curriculum, the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, specialist subject knowledge of the Read Write Inc. and Letters and Sounds phonics programmes and the Maths Mastery scheme. Preparing children for examinations such as phonics screening tests, Year 2 and year 6 SATs, 4+, 7+ and 11+ entrance tests.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

A qualified, dedicated and truly passionate teacher with 13 years experience as a childcare specialist. I qualified as a primary teacher in 2015 and since then have taught in a variety of schools both here in the United Kingdom and in the United Arab Emirates, as well as being the English Lead. This, along with my most recent role as a tutor for a private family has allowed me to gain a wealth of experience and a broad set of skills to tailor learning to all abilities, needs, learning styles and personalities. I favour a multi-sensory and individualised approach to my teaching, not only to teach the curriculum but to encourage confident and inquisitive minds, giving children a sense of empowerment and inspiring a lifelong love of learning. Building a rapport and mutual respect is at the centre of my philosophy. I believe that children excel when they feel confident to take risks and make mistakes and my approach to learning is child-led and fosters real- life experiences to ignite their spark with their well-being at its core.
