A bit about Ashleigh J

Outside of teaching, I enjoy travelling and exploring different countries, learning about different cultures and the history of the countries I visit. I play netball every week and enjoy running to keep healthy. In my spare time I also enjoy being creating through reading, writing and art. I enjoy teaching all Primary school subjects but particularly have experience in teaching maths from ages 5- 13. I have experience teaching the Singapore Maths curriculum where I learnt lots of new techniques and teaching approaches. I also head maths in the school I teach in and have been on many courses to help improve and grow my own teaching. Children have always inspired me in the way they learn, outside and inside the classroom. From a young age, I enjoyed teaching children so I decided to become a teacher. I enjoy all the different ways children learn and adapting my own teaching to help children learn from there perspective of understanding.
