A bit about Kate O

I have over 10 years of experience teaching in primary schools and am dedicated to providing the best education and care to children. I have taught from Year 1 upwards but have mainly been based in Year 6 for the past 7 years. I am particularly experienced in preparing children for their SATs and ensuring they are ready to perform the best that they can. Building good relationships is a top priority for me and so I take the time to get to know my students individually and who they are as a person, as well as academically. I make my lessons as engaging, well-paced, fun and inspiring as I can - I think laughter and learning should always go together. I started at a school whose SATs results were in the bottom 5% of the county. After my first year teaching their year 6 class, they were in the top 5% in the county. I was so proud that I could send them up to secondary school with the necessary knowledge and skills that they needed to succeed.
