A bit about Lianne

My specialities consist of Literacy, Mathematics, Grammar and Guided Reading. Having been a Year 6 teacher, I also have experience in preparing students for their Year 6 SATs. Often, my students will comment on how simple my explanations are for them. This enables the students to gain a strong understanding of different, and often tricker, concepts whilst simultaneously building their confidence in that particular subject. I have been a primary school teacher for the past six years with my experience predominately being in Upper Key Stage Two. Furthermore, I have experience in preparing children for the SATs examinations and can ensure good and understanding of key concepts. My greatest success in teaching has been helping students to become more confident in their ability to answer tricky questions. I have worked with students with a range of learning needs but have helped them to develop their own understanding and cultivate a love for learning. I have a BA Degree in History, PGCE in Primary Education and an MSc in Education, Power and Social Change. Furthermore, as a Primary School teacher, I have been a Mathematics lead for KS1 and KS2 and I am currently leading Literacy for KS1 and KS2.
