I am a Qualified Teacher and mental health professional with over 10 years of experience working with learners of all ages, from nursery through to mature learners (60+) in Primary, Secondary, alternative and Adult learning environments. 

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Education, Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I firmly believe that mental health and education go hand in hand, and therefore there must exist a therapeutic relationship between teacher and student in order to be conducive to learning. 

I have worked as a Head of Psychology in a mainstream school, complete with tailored lesson plans for students of various abilities and a strict behaviour policy. From here I transitioned to supply teaching, learning the ins and outs of flexibility as an educator. Most recently, my experience as an Education Specialist with Fresh Start in Education, working with vulnerable, at-risk children, has facilitated expression of my creativity in teaching in an environment that I feel passionate about - providing equitable access to high quality education for all children regardless of their circumstances.
