Qualified Primary Teacher with SEN experience!
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I aim to ensure that my lessons are engaging and impactful. The children are always actively involved so there is no passive learning. I use a range of resources, from creative and crafty to technology so there is something for every type of learner. My learning environment is always calm, challenging and fun! I have a warm and engaging demeanour which shines through even on webcam - your child will enjoy online lessons with me!
I have been teaching over six years and in that time, I have gained a wealth of experience in planning, teaching and assessing engaging lessons for primary aged children. I have also spent 18 months tutoring children on primary age in my spare time. I have a son who is 12 and I enjoy reading, walking, going to the gym and spending time with my family! I am very into fashion and watching interesting documentaries too.
As well as all relevant GCSE's and A Levels, I obtained a degree in Journalism from the University of Salford in 2012. I really enjoyed creating news packages and interviewing people. I also wrote a number of online new stories. After gaining some experience doing PR for fashion companies, I decided to train as a teacher. I achieved Qualified Teacher Status in July 2015 after completing a P.G.C.E. programme in Manchester.
I qualified in Primary Education and I have worked in a number of Primary Schools with a range of age groups from 5-11. I teach most subjects at Primary level, with a particular fondness for Maths, English and History! I also have some experience teaching French at Primary level. I have experience with SEND, having worked with and developed strategies for children with Learning Difficulties including Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, Autism and ADHD.
