A professional English teacher and tutor with a passion for learning.
I am a teacher, tutor and writer with a master?s degree who spent a decade working as a reporter and editor for the Financial Times in London.
I qualified as a teacher in 2017 and was graded outstanding, training at Glenthorne High School and Wallington County Grammar School, both outstanding schools. I have a strong track record in one-to-one tuition, tutoring students who have passed entrance exams to Benenden, Harrow (UK) and Westminster School. I hold a Trinity CertTESOL and in recent months, I have honed my online skills, teaching on a variety of digital platforms including Zoom, Loom, Google Meet and Google Classroom and Skype.
I bring a unique set of skills to my work and love the benefits of one-to-one or small group tuition, where you can quickly see results and clear up misunderstandings in learning. I am able to teach students how to write with authority and flair and successfully edit their own work. My comment pieces and news stories regularly featured on the FT?s front and op ed pages as well as the FT Weekend Magazine. I have also written for The Los Angeles Times and The Independent.
