Hello everyone,

I would just like to introduce myself! My name is Ailsa, I'm an English teacher and I would like to help explain grammar and make your children feel confident with their learning. I have been teaching for 7 years now and mainly children from age 6 upwards. I have done lots of one on one tuition especially as extra help after school. I am enthusiastic and always try to make learning fun!

I am offering English tutoring to primary school children - key stage 2. If you or your children are worried about their SATs and that they have missed a lot due to Covid 19.

I also offer Spanish tutoring to any level as I am very enthusiastic about second languages and I particularly love the Spanish culture.

Regarding my qualifications, I studied Spanish at the University of Birmingham 2007-2011 where I obtained a 2:1 bachelor's degree. I then completed a CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching for Adults) course obtaining a grade B in Manchester Academy of English. I went to live in Spain following this where I taught English as a foreign language. I have always enjoyed teaching as I particularly enjoy the contact and communication with other people. 

I am patient and understanding and take my time in explaining grammar step by step. I believe I would be the right person to help encourage students in their endeavours and be able to persuade them to continue with their efforts. I want them to remember their time at school as the best time ever.

My friendly demeanor and pleasant manner helps people to feel relaxed and confident and able to approach me with any problems or queries. I would especially like to tutor as I enjoyed the private one to one classes I did in Spain due to the personal quality of the classes and the relationship I built up with my students.
