A bit about Carl C

I am currently teaching Edexcel History to Year 7 to Year 12, but have both taught and been a GCSE Examiner for AQA. I strive to inspire all pupils and give them a deep interest into History and gain skills that can be used in other subjects and beyond. I have set up a History Society in school, designed schemes of work for Tutor Time and conducted assemblies. Currently I am supporting A-Level students with EPQ's. All my lessons are carefully planned ensuring that they following the Scheme of Work. I ensure that all tasks can be differentiated to support different learning needs. If I am unsure about a topic, I will read around the subject to increase my overall knowledge. I will always give constructive feedback to support all pupils. I teach how I would want to be taught myself; full of enthusiasm, subject knowledge, and passion. Every lesson I encourage al my pupils to engage with the lesson and take an active part in their learning. I always stress the importance of 'having a go' and that for me this is the most important thing and that we learn from our mistakes.
