A bit about Meg W

Hi there, My name is MegWhite - a 25 year-old Psychology Graduate (MSci). I find that being dyslexic myself - studying for a lot of students can be really difficult and challenging to engage in. However, I've found that if you make studying more interactive and "fun" if you will, studying doesn't seem so bad. The skills I used and developed to achieve my A-Level results I believe are an excellent way for remembering information, and hope to help future students succeed. I believe myself to be a bubbly person, with a lot of patience and a general passion for helping people achieve where they want to go. Having had tutors myself, I understand that a lot of faith is put on them, thus would be extremely reliable. I am currently a full-time Assistant Psychologist supporting clients with a range of mental health difficulties. I have a Masters in Psychology so would be able to assist with students who require help in this subject from GCSE up to degree level. I am AP and use a wide range of psychological theory and skill throughout my everyday work. Having tutored Maths (primary), English (primary-GCSE), History (primary-A-Level) and philosophy and Ethics (A-Level) for over 4 years now, I am confident that I would be able to provide the right support needed for your child. In my free time I like to: • Play Music! – I was chosen to provide piano accompaniment for the school choir while on tour in Italy and Prague, which required much commitment and dedication. Furthermore, I taught myself guitar, ukulele and bass in order to play in a wide range of music groups. • Give Back! With my desire to keep fit, I have completed a number of challenges including running and cycling to help raise money for several charities including the Mother’s Bridge of Love. • Travel – Throughout summer (2016) I travelled to Canada and Peru where I worked with 60 other staff members at a camp for the disabled, as well as visiting historical Inca sites during my 4-day trek to Machu Picchu. Currently I am living in France teaching English in a primary school. • Learning French – I have started learning French using the popular app DuoLingo to broaden my experience with other cultures.
