I am an energetic and committed tutor specialising in English.
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I started off my academic journey at Wyke College where I studied my A-levels in English Language and Literature (A*), Biology (A), and History (A).
I then moved to Leeds where I have been for the past 5 years. I graduated from my undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature in 2018 achieving a 2:1 grade. I love language and the power it has and it is amazing to see children engage with texts that move and impact them.
I then went on to study a masters degree in Design, achieving a 2:1 grade. My English and Design skills mean that I can craft custom lesson plans that are engaging and fun.
I work with the University of Leeds to create workshops designed to educate and inspire 6-16-year-old students. Working alongside the likes of Yorkshire Sculpture International, we run an Art Club which covers subjects such as sculpture, painting, modelling, but most importantly encourages young people to use their creativity as a therapeutic, expressive outlet. Creating and delivering 1-2 hour workshops, with unique activities which are as engaging as they are educative.
My optimum goal is to make learning a joyful experience for everyone involved, that not only inspires and sparks imagination, but encourages students to become self-assured, independent individuals. I love tutoring as I have the power to create real change and this is very rewarding.
