A bit about Lucy

I am very friendly, calm and patient. Most of all I want you to look forward to our lessons. During our lessons you will feel fully reassured. We will work at a pace you feel comfortable with. We can look at content and exam techniques and plan lessons so that we are covering what you feel you need help and support with the most. I will ensure you fully understand everything before moving on. I have taught Psychology AQA and OCR at A-LEVEL and GCSE. Also A-Level Criminology and BTEC Criminology for WJEC and Pearsons. I have experience with level 1-3 Health and Social Care. I have worked with many students who have additional learning needs and I am currently teaching degree level Psychology, Sociology, Health and Criminology. I started teaching 12 years ago and I have been a private tutor for the last 4 years. I love being able to give students the 1-1 support they need which is sometimes difficult to do in a classroom environment. You will be able to ask questions and progress at a speed that suits you. We will start with a recap from the previous lesson and then discuss what we will be covering that lesson, ensuring you are happy with what we will be covering. During the main part of the lesson it may be that we cover exam techniques or that we look at content and we will do this however you learn best. I believe every student is different and there is not one method for all. So if it is exam techniques you want to wok on we can do practice questions. If it is content and you are a visual learner we will go over content using visual aids. You will be able to have input into how the lesson runs as I want you to get the most out of the sessions.
