A bit about Emelisa

I am currently a University student studying Mathematics with finance. Alongside my studies, I've also been a Maths tutor and mentor for about 3 years providing emotional and academic support to students. I am patient, well-presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. One of the best things about being a tutor is the relationship I get to build with my students by influencing them and inspiring them to always work hard. It's great to listen to the students, to collaborate with them to find ways to help them succeed and to ease mathematical explanations for them, so they can find the subject interesting. I am very patient and a very good listener, hence if a student does not comprehend something I always try to find different ways to explain it and I repeat it as many times as possible till I'm sure the student understood the concept. I try to adapt to my students and work with them efficiently to create a good and successful learning environment.
