An experienced, patient tutor currently teaching in a school.
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I am currently working as a part-time Physics and Maths teacher at Collingham School, Kensington and have taught at their Easter Revision course for the last nineteen years. I have worked in various schools and colleges (from 2002) and have gained lots of experience of teaching students of all ages and from a wide variety of backgrounds. In addition to teaching in schools I have been tutoring since 1995 and have also been an examiner for edexcel (A level Physics).
I gained my physics degree at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and afterwards spent two years researching special relativity with a former lecturer and published two papers in the European Journal of Physics. I have been a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society (FRAS) since 2004.
Where do I go from here?
You can send Mike F a message through Sherpa and they will usually get back to you within 24 hours. You'll receive an SMS and email notification when they do so.
How do the introductions work?
Sherpa gives you the opportunity to meet our tutors in a free 20 minute introduction, which takes place through the Sherpa classroom.
How do lessons work?
All lessons take place through Sherpa's online, industry-leading classroom. This is a combination of a collaborative, real time whiteboard and a video call, like Zoom.
