A bit about Virginia C

Teacher of languages for over 20 years. I work for AQA too. I run a department and am well qualified. Love teaching and I have tutored privately with great individual success. I can personally tailor lessons to your needs. I have taught French and Spanish to A level for over twenty years. Whether it is a grammar block or a speaking phobia, we can unlock your potential. Planning lessons is essential to providing tailored, structured support to students. Lessons are well planned, have clear intentions and are reflected upon to ensure understanding and learning has taken place. I have tutored at various stages of my career and started over 20 years ago. My last student was before the pandemic began. Being able to communicate in another language is the best feeling in the world. Engaging a student to enable them to achieve this is an even greater success. Prepared, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, firm. I enjoy preparing and I enjoy giving feedback. Starting out with a student and accessing their needs to completing their journey is always a rewarding experience. The process enables both parties to grow and learn together. No two students are alike and therefore each lesson needs to be planned appropriately. Work hard for your student but they need to know how they can achieve their own success. Enabling and showing them the way is paramount. I am approachable yet with high standards I’d like to think they know they can rely on me. They know I’ll engage with them and I’ll plan, implement and give feedback to highlight individual progress. Having some fun is crucial Honestly? Too many to name as I see success as a student saying ‘gracias’ when they’ve learnt their first word to an A level student returning to tell me what life is like as an undergraduate. PGCE Secondary French A level Spanish My French teacher was so kind, warm and engaging and I loved the subject I also like to transfer knowledge and my love of travel and languages I would hope has helped to enthuse others I love the gym, walking, cooking and painting. Travel, when we are able to again is my big pull. I teach Edexcel to A level (French and Spanish) I mark for AQA (French and Spanish ) GCSE
