A bit about Rebecca J

I am currently training to be a qualified English Teacher after recently gaining a First Class Honours degree in English Literature. I love teaching and helping people, so hopefully I will be able to share my knowledge with you. I believe that all students should feel fully supported in the world of education and be consistently encouraged to reach their maximum potential. Give everything your best shot and you will succeed! I think my students love how enthusiastic I am about not only English, but learning in general. I believe they also appreciate how down to earth and honest I am with them. They understand that it is okay to make mistakes because we are all humans - what matters the most is picking yourself up and trying again. I am a First Class English Literature graduate and I am currently training for a PGCE with QTS from the University of Derby. I am knowledgeable with major GCSE texts on the curriculum, with recent experience teaching 'A Christmas Carol' and 'Romeo and Juliet'. I teach Years 7-11 and have experience with the AQA exam board for GCSE. I am also knowledgeable with multiple A Level texts, such as 'The Handmaid's Tale' and 'Othello'.
