I have been a tutor for over 6 years now, mainly tutoring GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. I also have experience tutoring Biology at A Level and IB. I am most experienced in the Edexcel exam board, but I am happy to adapt to whatever exam board you are studying. Whatever your exam board - please don't hesitate to reach out! Having received five offers from Russell Group universities, I can also mentor students in writing their personal statements. I have been tutoring since 2018 after getting all A*/A at GCSEs. Hello, I'm Rahel, a trainee Science teacher. I have a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Manchester. Throughout my academic career, I have achieved straight A* grades in both my GCSEs and A Levels (English Language: A*, English Literature: A, History: A*, Biology: A*, Chemistry: A*, Mathematics: A*, Further Mathematics: A*). During lessons, I focus on exam question technique and common patterns needed to score marks, which worked well for me during my own revision. I appreciate how overwhelming exam season can be, having experienced upwards of 10 exam seasons myself, so I aim to break down content into manageable chunks. I also achieved five offers from Russell Group universities and have experience in mentoring others in writing their personal statements. My students love that the session is completely bespoke to their needs and focuses on misconceptions and where they would normally lose marks in their exams. I will always focus on exactly what you need to know for an exam, and simplify this as much as possible to push you into those higher grade boundaries!
