Experienced Maths tutor, infectiously enthusiastic
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I have been tutoring GCSE and A level students in various capacities since 2013 and have a strong belief that anybody can excel in Mathematics with the right approach. Having worked in school classrooms, one-to-one sessions and university seminars has given me experience of a variety of teaching methods and learning styles. I apply this to my tutoring, judging the correct style to approach a task for each individual learner.
In order to achieve a 1st Class Hons degree in Mathematics from University of Bath I chose to specialize in Education. As well as the traditional statistics, applied and pure modules, I studied modules in Communicating Mathematics, Educational Psychology, Science Education in Theory and Science Education in Practice . Many of these required a practical presentation in the form of teaching, providing extracurricular workshops and presenting at STEM fairs. Whilst at University I tutored GCSE and A level Mathematics, taught seminars for first years, and ran various Maths Outreach workshops.
I have a passion for educating young people and enabling them to reach their full potential and look forward to fulfilling this desire through tutoring.
