A bit about William G

I'm a structural engineer living in London. I recently graduated from Cambridge University with a Master's degree in Engineering, having taken A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Spanish. I have tutored a wide range of students on both a professional and volunteer basis and really enjoy helping students to understand the complexities of the subjects that I love. I began tutoring on a volunteer basis for the Coronavirus tutoring initiative to help students who were disadvantaged during the pandemic. I worked with some really promising students to help them to achieve their potential and enjoyed discussing the subjects I have loved over the past 10 years. My lessons take an approach of asking students to complete questions and discussing the answers together, looking for any gaps in knowledge. I like to take standard questions and alter the problem to make edge cases to check the student's overall understanding of the area. I find it is usually best to keep the student doing the majority of the talking and allow them to come to their own conclusions with help.
