A bit about Celena D

All Sciences from KS2 to KS5 exam boards AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL separate Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) Plus Combined at foundation and higher levels, I love helping others to learn and making Science come alive! I also teach OCR and AQA GCSE Physical Education and A-level Physical Education plus BTEC for Health and Social Care and Physical Education. As well as teaching I have always maintained a working presence in the Health and Social Care industry and teach this subject that I am passionate about. I also teach KS2 English and Maths I have been teaching for over 18 years in Primary schools, Secondary schools, Colleges and Universities. I have been tutoring 1:1 and in small groups for the past 7 years. I have a diverse background and love being able to help students increase their confidence and knowledge in a variety of subjects. I have extensive experience with SEND students and adopt a totally student centred approach to all my lessons and ensure that students have targets for each sessions as seeing progress and development is very important in developing them. All my lessons are student centred and are planned to focus on what areas they want to develop and enhance. My philosophy is to enable all students to fulfil their full potential whilst promoting confidence, self esteem and belief. Student centred approach that focuses on the students preferred learning methods whilst making the sessions fun and specific to the student. Taking an 2 grade student to a 7 in 6 months for Biology and a Fail to a grade 6 in Chemistry and Physics. Having students get A grades at Alevel and progressing onto top Universities. I establish the learning targets for the individual student and I ensure that the students can measure their progress and development from each session.
