A bit about Kimya T

I enjoy tutoring as it provides an opportunity for children to learn and engage in smaller groups. Children are more comfortable when they make a mistake and feel that they receive the attention they require in areas they find more difficult. Tutoring allows the pace to be slowed down a little and adapts to the child's learning needs. When I am not planning and teaching, I love to lose myself in Art. I'm no artist but I love the freedom of expression in painting. Currently, I have found a love for 'Paint by Number' projects, which makes me feel like an 'established artist', with support! I dreamt of being a teacher from an extremely young age. However, as I grew older, I developed a love for computers and technology. Although my career steered towards IT for the majority of my working career. I never lost the passion I had for becoming a teacher. Hence, when the opportunity arose, I took the leap and pursued a career path in Education. I have been working in Education for close to 10 years. I have worked with children with Special Education Needs as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges. Currently, I am a Qualified Teacher in KS2. I enjoy teaching the curriculum to children with all learning abilities and take great joy in celebrating the smallest progress and achievements that children make. I have a BA Hons degree in Early Childhood and Special Education, First class honours. In addition to a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Primary with Special Education and Inclusion. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in your learning journey!
