A bit about Ben

I specialise in tutoring Maths, with most of my experience having come through teaching at KS3 and GCSE. I’m a qualified secondary school maths teacher and have been tutoring maths to school students across the UK for the last 6 months. During my time in school, I studied maths to A-Level, where I attained an A*. I love teaching maths because of the subject’s beautiful patterns and intricacies, which can be seen all around us, like in nature. Maths challenges your ability to think critically and problem solve - skills that are essential in a world of information. I like to build up from first principles as it enables students to solve a variety of mathematical problems! Edexcel, OCR, AQA, WJEC from KS3/11+ through to GCSE (Year 7 - 11). I’m a recent graduate from the University of Exeter, having completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Sports Science. I have a relaxed approach to teaching as I hope this will enable students to fully express themselves and get the most out of each session. When I’m not helping students progress their mathematical skill set, I enjoy coaching and playing tennis as well as going on fishing expeditions.
