A bit about Michelle

I’ve taught English to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 for nearly twenty years now and led a department for about ten of those. The school in which I teach has achieved fantastic results year upon year in English and I pride myself on being able to make GCSEs in English language and literature accessible for you. I also teach A level English literature and can help you navigate your way through challenging texts too. At Key Stage 3 we can work on the key skills you’ll need to be successful not just in English but across the curriculum: all in an interactive and enjoyable way. More recently, I have taught in a an SEMH setting, so I can work with young people experiencing anxiety and other debilitating conditions to support their learning. Teaching GCSE English language and literature (AQA exam board). Teaching A level English literature (AQA exam board) and generally helping students improve their skills in English at KS3. The results they I have personally achieved as well as led my department to achieve have placed the school in which I teach amongst the best comprehensive schools in the city in which I live. On average, every student achieves a grade higher than their target grade at GCSE. I’m very proud of that! All years 7-13 AQA for both GCSE English language snd literature and for A level too.
