A bit about Krish

2 years teaching English as a foreign language abroad in Taiwan. 4 years experience in primary education with extensive experience working with children who have SEN (including autism, speech and language needs). Certified Reiki Practioner helping children with anxiety. Year 1 phonics screening check, Year 2 & 6 SATs and 11+ prep 2011-2015 BSc Accounting and Financial Management PGCE and QTS TEFL Certified Reiki Level 1 and 2 I make lessons personable to the child, incorporating the child's interest as well as fun games and activities to break up the lessons. I also allow time for movement breaks if necessary. I recognise the need for children to be able to express themselves creatively and explore their natural talents alongside learning the core subjects. I'm excited by the role that teachers have in this current era of rapid progress, particularly as digitalisation pushes us to be creative in our approach to education. Having the chance to explore and grow is really important and how we choose to do this is a personal journey, I feel as a teacher you can guide the younger generation to pursue the path that is most fitting to them. I am an enthusiastic and empathetic teacher, who has learnt to change my teaching style depending on my students, proving my ability to adapt and be self-critical of my own progress. I will have a look at the targets that teachers have set and work through the key areas in the curriculum your child will need to know for their year group in order to get the expected level. The lessons will be fun and interactive through games and quizzes. Children will be given a visual timetable for the hour to break down the time so they are aware of what will happen in the lessons. We will also have time to discuss any areas the child might be finding difficult in school and revise these areas.
