A bit about Anuradha

I am scientists who who never thought of becoming a teacher until I got an opportunity to teach during my uni days. After gaining a degree and masters in Biology , I did my teacher training course as I realised that teaching is more about inspiring my students than just passing on information. I specialise in Biology. I have a masters in Botany and a PG diploma in bioinformatics. My passion for teaching got me a B. Ed in natural science and PGCE specialising in Biology. I have been teaching students of age group ranging from 10 to 18. I plan my lessons based on the learning objectives. I make sure all of them are covered before end of the lesson. I include check points in between to assess my student's learning. I make sure students gets time to clear all their doubts before moving on to the next learning objective. I started tutoring during my uni days. After becoming a professional teacher I did only short revision sessions for my students. I have experienced that in learning science students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. They tend to ask more questions until they find the evidence and are clear in their mind. This is the skill that I want my students to have in learning science and this is exactly what I like about teaching my subject . I teach year 7 to year 13. I have taught AQA , OCR and EDexcel. I like reading and going for long walks. My first experience of teaching was when I was a student in Uni. A after the session I realised that I actually enjoyed every bit of the whole process than any thing else. Teaching is a profession that can make an impression and a difference in young people and this itself is the greatest reward. After pursuing a degree in Botany , I did my masters in Botany and later a PG diploma in bioinformatics. Later I did a degree in Bachelor of education and a PGCE in Biology.
