A bit about Neil A

I go right back to the very basics and teach you to understand how physics works. After teaching students for 25 years and teachers how to teach physics for 12 years I'm pretty good at this. I make physics real and related to real life so it makes sense, and then I connect all the concepts together to build a coherent picture of physics. It's when those who hate or don't understand physics suddenly get it. I love that light bulb moment! My students do very well in exams, but more importantly, they become much more positive about physics and learn to enjoy it and carry on to study physics at a higher level. I teach the stories that formulae and graphs tell us and so many students who have struggled with calculations before can now do them easily. I have a degree in physoics and a PGCE - Qualified teacher status. I also qualified as an Advanced Skills Teacher which led to me teaching other teachers. I am also qualified to teach 8 sports and so I teach the physics of football , skateboarding and surfing :) I specialise in making sense of whatever I am teaching. It is not just about being able to answer questions by learning the answers. It is having a deeper understanding so that if a weird question appears on the exam paper my students can answer it.
