A bit about Dan

I have a degree in Chemistry and worked for 7 years as a Science Teacher in a UK Secondary School. Have also spent time working as an Online Tutor for students living overseas who study Science and Maths. Specialist in KS3, GCSE and A-Level Chemistry. Experience in teaching KS3 Science and GCSE Physics and KS5 Applied Science in mainstream secondary school. Have also taught IGCSE Chemistry and Physics, IA-Level Chemistry and KS3 Maths in a 1-2-1 tutoring capacity. I earned my Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) in 2013 and taught in mainstream UK Secondary Education until 2020. Since then I have worked as a tutor. Very much a pupil centred approach. I like to use the "What?" and "How?" approach. What is it that the pupil most needs in order to reach their learning goals? How is the best way to approach it? (The method that best suits the pupil!) Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Bangor University. PGCE in Secondary Science (Chemistry) from Liverpool Hope University.
