7+ years qualified teacher of biology and physics (PhD in biology)
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I am an enthusiastic teacher of science who has been teaching for 7 years now. I have taught A-level biology (AQA and OCR), GCSE biology and GCSE physics (both AQA). I also have a PhD in biology (Molecular Ecology) and I am equally passionate about student learning and science!
My sessions are tailored specifically to what my students need, so first I like to find out a bit about what you already know or would like to cover. I will then use a combination of describing, drawings and quizzes to ensure that my students have a good understanding of the key content. Then I usually go through an exam question to do some deep analysis of exam style questions to help their exam technique.
I have a Single Honours Biology Degree (1st Class Honours), I also studied Experimental Physics for three years at University. I then went onto study for my PhD in biology (Molecular Ecology) and then I completed my PGCE in biology in 2014.
