A bit about Catherine

I have 15 years experience in primary education. I have taught internationally and have experience teaching children with English as an additional language. I am currently teaching in Scotland which is where I am from. I have taught in prestigious private schools in Abu Dhabi, Moscow and The Hague. I have experience teaching the English curriculum, the European curriculum and the Scottish curriculum. I am also beginning a role as Lecturer in Early Education and Childcare. My teaching style caters for all learning types and will reflect how your child learns best. It allows for children to be inquisitive and engaged in their learning. My style supports creativity and allows children to take the lead on their learning. Children should enjoy their learning and my teaching reflects that through games and hands on learning. I have 2 young children that I enjoy going walking in the forest with or walking along a rocky beach to splash in the sea and spot sea glass! I also enjoy sewing and reading and make lots of things for my home and classroom. I have successfully tutored in all countries I have taught in. I became much more familiar with online learning during the pandemic when I started teaching my class from home. This has allowed me to become proficient in teaching online and providing lessons that are accessible and fun for all learners.
