I specialise in Mathematics and Physics. How so do you ask? I studied both these subjects at University! I'm very curious about these topics so not only did I enjoy studying them but I enjoy teaching them too. I also studied Chemistry to an advanced level along with Biology so I can provide assistance in these areas too.
Tutoring actually came to me before I decided to start. Some family friends knew of my study of Mathematics and Physics at University so they asked me to tutor their kids in GCSEs and A-Levels. Since then my network sprung out and I started tutoring professionally part-time. This was 2017, hence I now have 5 years of experience.
I believe in value and the most fundamental belief I hold that is the most valuable in tutoring is 'understanding'. The pupil must really understand the core concepts and mechanisms of a question to answer it correctly or answer future questions correctly as memorisation can be dangerous in the future progression of a topic. So my style is to discuss a lot with the pupil and start from the bottom of the pyramid to the top!
What I love most about teaching my subject is that I'm teaching a subject I love! I've always enjoyed the theory and problems Maths and Physics brings and having to teach them keeps me on top of these subjects and engaged with them. It also gives me much joy shedding light on these topics and having my students improve in an important area of study.
I teach all exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge, OCR... I even teach International A-levels. I teach all year groups including KS3 up to GCSEs and A-Levels for Mathematics and Physics. I teach all science subjects up to GCSEs.
Outside of teaching I enjoy programming applications, playing team sports, listening to podcasts and reading books and my favourite of all is going out for dinner!
