A bit about Amal S

I am an inspiring and caring teacher who loves making a difference in the lives of others. I am open-minded, patient and supportive and have over ten years teaching experience. Phonics - teaching children the building blocks of how to read. Literacy - building reading skills and confidence, devloping grammar and writing skills. Building self-belief and confidence. All primary subjects. Lessons are well planned based on the needs and learning style of the pupil. Lessons include a starter/brain warmer activity, input regarding particular skill and opportunities to practice skill. Lessons are tailored to individual pupils. I first began tutoring over 20 years ago, helping adult learners to read and write. I have taught children, university students and adults English in Japan and have over ten years experience in London schools as a teacher. I love watching pupils develop their skills and confidence and achieving to their fullest potential. I am an open, friendly and caring teacher. I believe building positive relationships is at the heart of successful teaching and learning. I have a clear and adaptable style. I love helping others learn and reach their goals. You can do it! This is my teaching philosophy. I believe we are all capable of doing anything we wish. I believe in growth mindset rather than the idea of fixed intelligence.
